摘要

Availability and efficiency of steam generation power plant operation have become veryimportant points for long term continuous operation, especially in coal-fired power plants. Havinghigh availability means the machine can continuously operate and is always ready for operation.Efficiency means the higher the output, the smaller the input we need to obtain good quality electricsupply.Wastewater from the continuous blow down boiler in Suralaya Power Plant has given us anidea to raise the efficiency and availability of the steam generation operation, that is, by using a“zero waste water program”. I implemented that new program. We made a pond with a 450-m3capacity to collect the wastewater from the continuous blow down water. We then reuse it tosubmerge the scrapper conveyor in furnace bottom area (replacing sea water), to wash the pyrite inpulverizer inerting system, to spray the dust in the dust conditioners (replacement of sea water), tospray the coal stockpile, and as fire fighting water. Economically, the abovementioned wastewatercan be sold as radiator coolant. By applying this “zero wastewater program” Suralaya Power Stationhas been able to reduce the operation cost up 525,518,240 rupiahs / year. This system can alsoreduce the maintenance cost of equipment that uses seawater.
