In Shenzhen the quantity of vegetable produced by scattering peasant farmer amounts to 95%. The quality status and security level of vegetable is important for citizens. This paper discusses the design and realization of vegetable safety traceability and tracking system based on the management information system of Shenzhen JIANONG Modern Agricultural Development Company which is a loosening internal organization. Because the company has its peculiar organizational model composed of company and peasant farmers,its information system design has its own characters. In recent years,the software of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) has been applied in some large agricultural enterprises. But the software of ERP for medium-sized and smaller agricultural enterprise is lacking in the ERP market. Especially in these agricultural enterprises whose main business are producing and transporting vegetable,there are particular work flow and requirement for management information in these agricultural enterprises and employees in these enterprises have low quality in education. But about all kinds of professional ERP software are for producing enterprises and used by employees who must have knowledge of computer and finance. In addition the work flow and management of agricultural enterprises are not comprehended by software designers. In one hand it is inconvenience to handle the security of vegetable in the condition of scattering producing vegetable,in the other hand agricultural enterprises also wish to control the farmers' producing and improve the quality of product. In order to adapt to security of vegetable and satisfy the requirement of agricultural enterprises,the software system has been designed,which has the function of traceability and tracking for vegetable and integrate the function of substance flow management and finance information. The software system is composed of two subsystems,which are company wholesale market subsystem and producing base subsystem. Shenzhen JIANONG Company has adopted the system and acquired anticipative result.
