摘要

The current work presents a reconstruction of the situation in the world nuclear power as of 2005 and forecasts of developments made by using modern models of power planning in the term before 2050, assuming that the current trends continue with due account of the regional aspects of nuclear power development and opportunity of transition to innovative nuclear fuel cycles. It was based on the information available from reliable international sources on resources, extraction, manufacture, consumption, import and export of the basic components of nuclear fuel, as well as on the history of commissioning and decommissioning power reactors and nuclear fuel cycle facilities. The quantitative full mass-flow analysis performed has allowed identifying the prerequisites defining the desirability of organizing international fuel centers worldwide and introducing fast reactors with associated fuel cycle to increase proliferation resistance and ensure security of nuclear power development worldwide.
