摘要

A growing number of companies that have mandated a formal corporate travel policy. This will indirectly affect the productivity of the executive by subjecting it to the return of every dollar invested on the business trip. Given the economic uncertainties, there has been an effort to cost minimisation of travel policies but there has been a lack of focus on the executive’s productivity. Companies will not only want to reduce travel expenditures but at the same time being able to generate a high returnon- investment. This study attempts to ascertain the relationship between managed corporate travel policies and the productivity of the executives on long- haul business trips within the Asia Pacific region. The number of transits, location of transit points, punctuality of flight, security of hotel and the availability of meeting facilities/services have been found to be statistically significant in affecting the productivity of the executive travelling on long-haul business trips in the Asia Pacific region.
