摘要

The paper presents the results of comparative tests of two x-ray systems used for non-destructive testing of ammunition - Electron Linear Accelerator and MU17F 225-9 system. Described diagnostic kits come from different manufacturers, one is a German company YXLON - MU17F 225-9 and the second set is of Polish production and was developed at the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ). The study describes each X-ray system in terms of their technical parameters. Then different types of ammunition selected for testing, having: different thickness of the body walls, diverse fill of the projectile and the complexity of the structure. Then, tests of each kind of ammunition were performed using two systems. The received X-ray images were subjected to image processing and analyses were carried out for an evaluation of the each system suitability for ammunition diagnostic testing.
