摘要

The present work modifies the Walker-Anderson model in order to accuratelycompute damage scenes due to synergistic effects of multiple penetrators.Modifications are proposed to the model governing equations in order to accountfor differences in the target strain rate field and already damaged surfaces as aresult of the action of multiple penetrators impacting in close spatial and temporalproximity. The damage scenes predicted by the fast-running model are thencompared to those predicted by a range of high-fidelity computationalphenomenology simulations to assess the model’s performance.
