This paper examines the inward FDI' role in promoting regional export in China. Using the panel data for the three regions in China from years 1992 to 2008, econometric techniques for panel data are applied to test unit roots and cointegration. The results indicate the distinct difference among the regions: the effect of the inward FDI on promoting export is higher in coastal region than in both the central and the west region, but there are little gap between the central and the west region.
