摘要

Novel micellar nanocarriers for drug and gene delivery were engineered utilizing polyethyleneglycol-polyethylenimine-phosphatidylethanolamine (PEG-PEI-PE)conjugates. The amphiphilic polymers were synthesized by coupling different quantities of PE to low molecular weight PEI followed by conjugation with PEG. These conjugates were able to effectively complex DNA, assemble into micellar nanocarriers, protect DNA from degradation by nuclease, and exhibited low toxicity. Such micellar nanocarriers could be of great potential as dual carriers of gene and anticancer drug.
