Galileo is the name of given to the European satellite navigation as a joint project of the European Union ESAand the European space industry.It was initially decide to conduct this project within the PPP framework. This solution was given up. The projectis being realised within a more classical framework.The article will show that Galileo as being a European project cannot be handling without respecting the key EUprocurement principles.
