The present study sought to quantify the pressure distribution over the stern flight deck of a modified YP craft model in a low-speed wind tunnel. The 4% scaled model was tested at 0, 5,10,15, and 30 degrees yaw at a Reynolds number of 7.6 million. Pressure measurements were taken from 272 ports across the flight deck at 25 Hertz in order to analyze the flow around the aft facing hanger. The pressure measurements were used to measure both the coefficient of pressure on the deck and the unsteadiness of the flow on the deck. The results aided in characterizing the flow over the flight deck to better understand the conditions faced by naval aircraft.
