This study mainly considers the DT of a generalized integrable couple lattice equation including the discrete nonlinear Schrodihger equation. Based on the Lax pair for Eq. (1), a DT has been established. Explicit solutions for Eq. (1) have been derived by applying the resulting DT. Structure plots have been drawn for better understanding those derived solutions, which might be helpful to understand some physical processes in optics.
