The theorem of carrying out an empirical analysis on the relations between the rural finance and economic growth has already aroused widespread concerns of various countries' academia, this theorem's application, however, is quite rare in China, especially at the provincial level. Hunan, as an important hinterland province in China, is more than appropriate for applying exotic theories to analyze its state of affairs. This paper empirically analyzed the relations between the rural finance and economic growth by taking relevant theories of rural finance and economic growth as the foundation and utilizing the method of co-integration analysis. The result indicated that the rural finance development and economic growth of Hunan province present one-way causality and financial repression did exist in Hunan rural area. The paper also came up with corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the actual fact.

机译：对农村金融与经济增长之间的关系进行实证分析的定理已经引起了各国学术界的广泛关注，但是该定理在中国尤其是在省级的应用很少。作为中国重要的腹地省，湖南更适合运用异国情调的理论来分析其事态。本文以农村金融与经济增长的相关理论为基础，运用协整分析的方法，对农村金融与经济增长的关系进行了实证分析。结果表明，湖南省农村金融发展与经济增长存在单向因果关系，金融抑制确实存在。本文还根据实际情况提出了相应的对策和建议。
