摘要

Studies on socio-economic impact of wood energy systems are usually used for evaluation of its local,regional, and national significance in regard to possibilities of development, employment and impact on other sectors(enhancement of consumption of other resources necessary for functioning of systems for production of various typesof wood fuels). Some of the factors of significance are measurable by economic factors such as for exampleemployment and incomes, and others are observed in terms of social, cultural and environmental aspects because theycannot be easily quantified. Furthermore, impacts of certain factors in various local environments differ in types ofappearance and intensity, which depends on structure of local economy, characteristics of technology, profile of localsocial community and characteristics of production processes. Analysis of actual state of employment in the woodenergy systems in Serbia was realised with the scope of determination of number and structure of employees in thecompanies working on production of certain types of wood fuels such as: fuelwood, wood chips, wood briquettes,wood pellets and charcoal. Given analysis represents the starting point for further analyses of socio-economic effectsas well as of commercial and social significance of wood energy systems in Serbia. The paper gives results of theanalysis of direct, indirect and induced work in the wood energy systems in Serbia, incomes of employees,contribution of wood energy systems in the regional and national public revenues, as well as wood energy systemsand favourable conditions for additional works for population in rural areas in Serbia.
