Empirical analysis indicates that there will be positive correlation between capital structure and corporate performance under industrial environment which is high resource abundance and high complexity; and there will be negative correlation between capital structure and corporate performance under industrial environment which is low resource abundance and low complexity. It also means that company's capital structure must be aligned with the industrial environment and this alignment or match has significant performance implications.
