The assembly,Recalling Article 15(j) of the Convention on the International Maritime Organization regarding the functions of the Assembly in relation to regulations and guidelines concerning maritime safety,NOTING the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, as amended, in particular regulation V/5 (Safety of navigation - Meteorological services and warnings),Bearing in mind the decisions of the 62nd Council of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO),RECOGNIZING that the existing WMO GMDSS Marine Broadcast System, as amended, is an integral part of the IMO/WMO Worldwide Met-Ocean Information and Warning Service (WWM1WS).
