摘要

Advanced new satellite systems are being planned and deployed around the globe to meet demand for broadband services in homes, remote areas, and on mobile platforms in the air, on land and at sea. In order to provide the most advanced services, satellite operators need to take advantage of increased spectrum availability in higher frequency bands, like the Ka band. Transparent, non-discriminatory and flexible regulatory frameworks are needed to accommodate the deployment of these new systems in order to timely meet the demands of consumers. Administrations with regulatory regimes that encourage deployment of Ka band services will be rewarded with the most advanced broadband services for their citizens.
