After the analog signals received by the 1 omni directional and 2 directional hydrophones on the DIFAR (Directional Frequency Analysis and Recording) sonobuoy are combined, they are transferred as raw data in real-time with the help of VHF communication. Due to the structure of these sonobuoys, the bandwidth of the data to be transmitted is at least 20 kHz. In this study, in order to reduce the bandwidth, a system that transmits and displays the angle value of each frequency bin by processing the raw data is proposed. With the ZYNQ-based system, the bearing values calculated at 1 Hz frequency resolution in sea tests were verified. The results obtained showed that after processing sonobuoy data, provides low bandwidth usage and reduces power consumption.
