摘要

Turkey is going through an intense period of construction and urban regeneration. Within the last decade, there is an on-going effort to construct new transportation infrastructures and to renovate the existing infrastructures. A parallel effort is shown in urban regeneration that yields and is expected to yield a significant amount of demolishment waste material. The two efforts in the field of construction yields waste that could be utilized to the economic benefit of both undertakings and an additional environmental benefit of the country. This paper provides a basic insight into the dimensional nature of the transportation projects and attempts to highlight the potential to fulfil some of the construction needs through the waste material generated by the construction industry and urban regeneration projects.
