Objective: To evaluate the shiftwork workload of subway dispatchers. Method: Analyze the effects of shiftwork on subway dispatchers' workload, then build a shiftwork workload evaluate method according to human circadian rhythm for subway dispatchers based on Masamitsu Oshima evaluating-point approach. Result: This study used the method to analysze the shiftwork workload of dispatchers of Shanghai Metro, and the analysis result is in accordance with actual circumstance. Conclusion: The method can be used to evaluate the shiftwork workload of subway dispatchers, and can be applied to provide a basis for scientific management of shiftwork of subway dispatcher.
