The present study investigates the nonequilibrium effects on the transition of shock/shock interaction between Type Ⅵ and Type Ⅴ in hypersonic flow around a double-wedge configuration. The results show that the critical transition angle θ_2 increases with Mach number in the nonequilibrium flow, which differs from that in the hypothetical perfect gas. We also find that the real gas effects tend to make the transition from Type Ⅵ to Type Ⅴ less sensitive to the second wedge angle, and thus results in a much wider critical extent.
