This paper shares recent Alstom experience in a new airfoil family design process for wind turbine blades. Design was carried out within the Spanish funded project Azimut. New airfoils are ment to be dedicated in future large wind turbine blade designs. For that purpose, the family consist in a range of airfoils with different relative thickness and performance evaluated at high Reynolds numbers for wind turbine applications.
