Motive Methods of Heat Flux Measurement in Stagnation Ablation Test

Thermal protection is an important technology in hypersonic flight reentry, and the ablation protection is one kind of them which is usually used. In ground test the free jet supersonic stagnation ablation is an effective method to evaluate the ablation performance of material. In long time ablation test the measurement precision of heat flux is critical to the material evaluation. Larger error exist in test data which heat flux is measured in fixed type, while the heat flux measured in motive type accord with the mathematic theory which is considered to be an accurate method in stagnation heat flux measurement. In this paper, the method and the equipment of the stagnation ablation test is introduced briefly, also including the theory of heat flux measurement Where after according the contrast to the numerical result, the test data and error received in fixed type measurement is particularly explained. As a result the heat flux measurement in motive type is given. At last through the deep analysis of the test result, the motive type measurement is proved logical. Also the advantage of motive type relative to the fixed type is confirmed.
