摘要

The popular energy efficient S-MAC protocol gain motivation to improve the battery complications in WSNs due to major part of power get consumed in idle listening and sensing the shared wireless channel repeatedly to find when to transmit. S-MAC decreases the consumption of energy by imploying the sleep wake-up mechanism in the sensors nodes. This paper offers an inclusive simulation by evaluation of S-MAC performance by mutating and inspecting all the parameters following by plotting the reflected performance of variation on other parameters by using Network Simulator NS2. The results obtained are arranged in table alongside their respective plots.
