In this paper, it's shown on how to estimate and minimize the error caused by internal or external electromagnetic interferences in array processing in the vicinity of scatterers. Using a uniform linear array with a uniform separation, a transformation matrix is used to overcome this problem. First, an electromagnetic model is used to describe the antenna behavior by generating the antenna current Green's function in the presence and absence of mutual coupling. Then, by subtracting the two models, the error generated can be compensated using an optimization method to extract the signal-of-interest (SOI). This method process the received data by the array in different elevation angles and will estimate the direction of arrival (DOA) of the impinging signal by using multiple signal classification method (MUSIC).
