This study investigates the speed control of single-phase induction motor capacitor starting using an experimental work and simulation. Single phase induction motors are simple, robust and reliable and are used in enormous numbers especially in domestic and commercial application where 3phase supplies are not available. The laboratory work has been done and the results show performance of the motor. The proposed lab work for the single-phase induction motor capacitor starting is simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results were compared with the experimental results.
