This paper expounds the overall strength analysis method of the J-Laytower. The structural model of J-Lay tower is established by usingfinite element software, and then check analysis is conducted. Thecontent of the analysis includes the overall strength of the specifiedworking conditions that J-Lay tower is at introversion 20°, upright andextraversion 20° position. The results show that the designed J-Laytower meets the relevant requirements in all working conditions.
