The grounding grid has the function of providing a common electric potential reference for the electrical equipment and protecting the electrical equipment. When the short circuit and lightning strike occurs, the grounding grid can quickly drain the impact current, so that the ground potential is lowered in the transformer substation, thereby protecting the whole power system. Because of the occurrence of corrosion, the grounding grid section decreases, when there is a large fault current through the grounding grid, it will cause the fuse of grounding grid metal conductor, and the fault current can not be drained to the ground, it will make the ground potential rise resulting in a "counterattack" phenomenon, and cause electrical equipment and low voltage system failure, and damage to the transformer, and cause safety accidents resulting in economic losses. In order to ensure that the grounding grid play a normal role and avoid accidents, we need to detect the corrosion of grounding state for timely repair and replacement before the grounding performance decreased to normal use. In this paper, a corrosion monitoring system based on the cloud platform is designed, which combines the electrochemical technology, automatic detection technology and cloud computing technology, so the remote monitoring of grounding grid corrosion is realized. The system can use the Internet to send the collected data to the cloud platform at any time, the relevant personnel can monitor the corrosion status of the grounding grid through the mobile terminal.
