This paper presents different control schemes for parallel operation of voltage source inverters with stiff grid depending on droop control based technique. Methods are analyzed and compared for presenting a new hybrid control scheme with highly improved dynamic response regardless of the grid parameters uncertainties and without communication link among interconnected units. Decoupling control of active and reactive power producing null steady state error is obtained through an adaptive droop controller. Meanwhile, feed-forward decoupling for filter current is introduced to enhance system stability and improve the power quality. Furthermore, system oscillatory response is damped via an enhanced voltage controller which relies on virtual impedance (VI) angle. The final scheme has no tradeoff between system stability and output voltage regulation, in contrast with conventional droop control.
