Universitas Gadjah Mada has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September 2014 with Badan Tenaga Nuklir Nasional (BATAN) to recognize the mutual interest in the fields of education, research, and training related to nuclear security culture. This activity will be administrated by managing office of Center for Security Culture and Assessment-BATAN. Center for Security Culture and Assessment (CSCA) of the BATAN, has conducted the 2nd batch of the self-assessment for security culture since August 12th, 2015 at the Serpong Nuclear Area by using four tools, such as survey, interview, document inspection, and observation in accordance to the IAEA document titled Technical Guidance for Self-Assessment of Nuclear Security Culture. The assessed characteristics of the nuclear security culture were leadership; consisting of authority, effective communication, and motivation. As for the management system, it comprised of clear role and responsibility, training and qualification, quality control, and self-assessment; while the personnel behavior comprised of professional conduct, personal responsibility, adherence to procedure, and vigilance. The aim of the 2nd batch of the self-assessment was to act as the comparison with the 1st batch of the self-assessment. In this paper, the data was obtained from the survey and interview, which ended on September 4th, 2015. The obtained data was analyzed according to respondent categorization which are structural employees, security persons, and non-structural employees. As for the interview, the result was analyzed by a multi-disciplinary team. The recommendation for this 2~(nd) batch of the self-assessment consists of categorization analysis, giving briefing to the interviewers to avoid the normative answers, designing different surveys to each different categorizations, and encouraging some activities that may increase the self-assessment team's motivation. The aim of this paper is to describe the implementation of MoU with academia and practitioner at operator body, particularly the experiences of CSCA experts in evaluating the nuclear security culture in practice.
