Mobile base concept has apparent advantages in exploration of the Moon, Mars and other planets. First of all, it extends reach for geological surveys and scientific researches. In terms of design, there is no difficulty in replacing landing pads with fully functional chassis which would not only provide for soft landing, but allow long-range journeys up to 1,000 miles. The middle part of the Rover shall have rocket engine with control engines mounted on the protruding wheel axles.
