In order to analyze the mechanical factors of the elastic bar fracture of two kinds of fastening, single-toe fastening and Type III fastening, the finite element (FE) models of the elastic bars of above two kinds of fastenings were established. The simulation shows that the stress of the elastic bar by its vertical displacement and installation position influenced its fracture. For the single-toe elastic bar, the stress of the elastic bar in excessive installation was 2.1%-3.5%, 5.0%-7.7% larger than that in standard installation and in incomplete installation, respectively. For the type III elastic bar, the maximum stress of incomplete installation was close to that in standard installation. Comparing the elastic bars of two kinds of fastenings in normal installation, the stress of the elastic bar of Type III fastening was smaller, 46.3%-47.1% than that of single-toe fastening.
