This paper aims to introduce a simple and guided analysis to produce sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) signals for the single-phase grid connected inverter through the stability study of the discretizing model including the LCL filter. Matlab software has been utilized for time and frequency response analysis in order to verify the suitable LCL parameters and the corresponding transistors switching frequency for stable operation. Experimental set, based on AVR microcontroller (programmed using Proteus software) and isolating gate drive circuits, have been implemented and tested. Simulation and experimental results have been obtained and well matched, validating the proposed technique for the grid connected inverter operation.
