摘要

In this paper, a new algorithm of Mode Decomposition Variational (VMD) for the detection of harmonics is proposed for the first time, and it is applied to the active power filter(APF). VMD decomposes the distorted power signal into a series of intrinsic mode functions (IMF), and different IMF components represent different frequency components, so that the fundamental IMF component can be determined. By subtracting the obtained fimdamental component from the original distortion signals, the harmonic component can be detected. In order to verily the effectiveness of VMD algorithm for the detection of APF harmonics, the VMD algorithm and the instantaneous reactive power theory are applied to the simulation circuit. The simulation results showed that the VMD algorithm has not only a good harmonic detection effect, but also a good effect on unstable signals.
