T85 medium frequency commutation breaking parameter is an important index of the reliable breaking of the mechanical DC vacuum circuit breaker. This work targets to investigate the dynamic equivalent circuit working status and characteristics of DC medium frequency active commutation breaker. Accordingly, based on requirements of employing equivalent synthetic circuit experimental method to DC short-circuit breaking test, we simulated the mid-frequency commutation breaking capacity and parameters by PSCAD simulation method, designed an experiment to test mid-frequency commutation parameters, analyzed the influence of commutation parameters and transient breaking effect of DC-vacuum switch in range of 2k-10k Hz, discussed the reliable application range of mid-frequency commutation parameters.
