By using labile-peptide patterns on SAMs, stem cell aggregate assembly can be tuned to produce aggregates of varying size, shape, and porosity. The ability to combine non-labile and labile patterning with competitive binding methods of release allow for greater tuning and access to complexity of aggregate structures unachievable by traditional methods.
