An article describes optimization of electricity and heat production in combined heat and power gas-steam plant. Economic gain (EAT - earning after tax) was set as optimization goal Siedlce CHP located in Poland was chosen as example. Construction of a combined heat and power plants was shown. General model of energy market in Poland, which contains elements of technology, economics and law, was characterized. Elements of mathematical model of CHP and optimization objective function were presented. Results of the optimization taken from CHP data were shown.
