A new energy paradigm is emerging in which renewable energies will play a much bigger role, as well as one in which hydrogen emerge as an important energy vector. Within the global consumption of energy, both present and future, the residential sector comprises an important portion of consumption and is therefore an important factor in the new energy paradigm. In line with this scenario, this study analyses the feasibility of using a storage system based on hydrogen as an alternative to using a battery storage system in an isolated photovoltaic installation to supply a house's electric demand.
