摘要

Modified ceramic shell with fine ABS powder and needle coke has improved permeability and strength as compared to the conventional ceramic shell. The strengths of the modified ceramic shell decreased as the amount of ABS powder increased. The modified ceramic shell has poor inner surface finish because ABS powder got burnt out during firing and left micro pores at the inner surface of the shell. Hence, the addition of ABS powder to the slurry should be optimum.
