Design of Automatic Drinking Water Supply System for Poultry Cage

The rapid development of agro-industry necessitates the need for more advanced technology. Specifically in the poultry sector, there are requirements for technology applications, such as in the drinking water supply management. A solution for water supply management system is proposed in this paper. The system is constructed using Arduino Uno as microcontroller, water level sensor to detect change of water volume, and flow sensor to detect for leakage. The working principle of this system is to control water level in the pipes used to deliver water to the poultry cages and detect whether there is a leakage or not between the pipeline nipples. The system uses two microcontrollers to monitor the pipes and communicate to each other using Wi-Fi. The system should also be able to dispense vaccination. The system has been built and tested, and it was found that the success rate of communication between Arduino Uno and other sensors is 100%. The accuracy of water level sensors in checking water level in the pipes is 100%. The success rate of the flow sensor in detecting leakage is 100%. The system is able to communicate between host and client using Wi-Fi and is able to simulate vaccination.
