Cleanliness and contamination control is one of the most important criterias of space projects. It covers several requirements from control program to phases, from environment such as cleanroom to activities such as cleaning process. Although some cleanliness requirements and levels are standard for all phases of project, some differs depends upon application in space and satellite technologies. In this study, cleaning and cleanliness criterias for stainless steel materials especially criterias and risks of tubes with diameter of 1/4” and less used in electric propulsion systems (EPS) are tried to be reviewed. Furthermore, surface cleanliness levels, processing, handling, packaging and inspection criterias for determining the cleanliness tried to be reviewed.
