GIS is widely used in power system because of its economic and reliable advantages. Long-term work of GIS equipment will cause contact to become hot and cause accidents. A GIS contact temperature monitoring method based on surface acoustic wave sensing technology and ZigBee network is proposed to monitor the contact temperature. A temperature monitoring platform is built and the temperature distribution in GIS is simulated by Comsol software. The principle and structure of temperature monitoring system are introduced in the paper. The experimental results are processed by using support vector machine algorithm. The results show that the temperature monitoring system has great accuracy and stability and there is great application potential for the temperature monitoring system.
