High Throughput Screening of Random Heteropolymers that Stabilize Enzymes

We have tested 180 polymers with varied chain length, composition, charge and structure. These initial studies show promising signs that quickly varying the characteristics of polymers helps identify compositional patterns that lead to stable enzyme formulations. Our next set of experiments will be to characterize these polymers and understand the mechanism through which they stabilize GOx in more relevant conditions. Then, we will apply this approach to other valuable enzymes in need of advanced formulation.
