摘要

Residential loads play an important role in balancing distribution sector of power system. Demand Side Management is now a days focusing on the optimum use and automatic control of the same. This paper presents an Algorithm for automatic scheduling of appliances based on their probabilities considering different constraints like weather, occupancy level etc. The proposed algorithm is compared with existing Home Energy Management algorithm. The objective function is to schedule the appliances based on their calculated probability index and to reduce the peak to average ratio PAR. The proposed algorithm provided better results than HEM in this regard. Therefore, the deployment of the proposed algorithm is beneficial for both end users and utility companies.
