In view of the relatively heavy traffic situation in China, the design of long-life asphalt pavement structure is helpful to alleviate frequent pavement reconstruction. In order to solve the structural design problem of asphalt pavement, this paper takes the design idea of long-life asphalt pavement abroad as a reference to study the design method of asphalt pavement structure. On this basis, the structural design of long-life asphalt pavement is discussed based on factors such as the type of asphalt mixture, preliminary test conditions and traffic volume. Comprehensive consideration of economic benefits requires the combination design of long-life asphalt pavement structures in accordance with requirements. The research results show that in the design of long-life asphalt pavement structure, the compressive strain on the top of the roadbed and the bending strain on the bottom of the asphalt layer should become important factors to control the life of the pavement structure; Layered design of each structural layer; In the process of material selection, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the stress state and function of pavement structures in different areas. Finally, we give suggestions on the materials and thickness of each structural layer under normal circumstances to provide a reference for relevant research on asphalt pavement structure design.
