The study of scattering from rough surfaces has been of interest to researchers for many years. Almost all comparisons between physical models and experimental data acquired in natural conditions does not seem sufficient for model validation. Indoor measurements using experimental models approximating the field conditions may be useful because of the possibilities to control both the target and the measurement parameters. In this paper the activities concerning planning and realization of some rough surfaces with defined statistical and dielectric properties, representing the experimental models for surface scattering models validation, are described.
