Abstract: The overview of the research carried out during the past few years on the synthesis of sillenite structure photorefractive crystals, films and fibers by various techniques is presented. Comparison between different techniques of synthesis of sillenite structure materials is given. The main attention is concentrated on the features of crystallization of sillenite single-crystal fibers at steep temperature gradients by the LHPG method. !56
