The effect of the different shapes of external signals (constant, serrated, sinusoidal and others) on the dynamics of the neural network modeling visual perception was investigated numerically. The neural network of the striate cortex cerebrum with all connected neurons was observed. The human brain activity responds to the signal spreading in a visual manner (from the retina photoreceptors to the cerebrum). The visual evoked potential characterizes the human brain state over the structural retina state and the conduction of the visual nerve fibres. The results of this investigations were presented. New specific features of the neural network, such as the excitation and depression were also taken into account too. The cooperative application of the external signal and the memory effect has been observed.
