摘要

A practical method for estiamting in situ undrained strength (C_u) of soft clays from the results of conventional unconfined compression (UC) test together with suction measurement is proposed. From the comparisons of profiles of undrained strength along depth estiamted by the proposed method with the strength profiles obtained by in situ sounding test such as field vane, cone penetration and pressure meter test, it was found that the strength obtained from UC test can be reasonable corrected to estimate in situ undrained strength of clay ground.
