The purpose of this study is to investigate both the material property and the behavior of stabilized light-wegith soil due to unconfined compression using industrial X-ray CT scanner. Here, the distribution of the density, the condition of mixing, and the distriubtion of air foam in in-situ specimen were investigated quantitatively using image processing analysis. Forthermore, a series of unconfined compression test were conducted for these specimens and the desntiy evolution was investigated by scannign of the specimen during unconfined compression. Finally, the effectiveness of the industrial X-ray CT scanner to geotechnical engineering was confirmed based on all the results in this recearch.
