In the present study transfersomes and liposomes of dexamethasone were prepared and extensively characterized in-vitro and in-vivo. The in-vivo performance of selected formulation was studies using carageenan induced rat paw edema volume and arachidonic acid induced ear edema model. The stability study was performed at 40°C and R.T. The study demonstrated the utility of transfersomal formulation of dexamethasone for improved transdermal delivery in comparison to liposomes and commercial ointment.
